Secret Spot

My little brother and I ventured out to a secret spot near our parents house. It’s a secluded river bend with a rope just asking for a good swing.

North Country Trail. 1st Trip!

Last week B and I went for our first hike of the season. We ventured out onto the North Country Trail, a amazing hiking trail that is still in the process of being finished. When complete it will stretch over 4600 from New York to North Dakota.

Luckily for us nearly the entire Michigan portion is already complete and with the great weather we were having it was time to get out there and see what this new trail had to offer.

We chose to a ten miles stretch that wound through thick a pine forest and two separate marshes! It was beautiful and more than we had anticipated. Our camera battery died about 20 minutes in, so I apologize for the shabby pictures taken with my phone camera. Next trip out we’ll get better images, I promise!

Last snow 2010!
